Directory Submission Rules:
Here are some of the rules and some of the information you will need when
submitting to free directories.
Directory Submission Rules:
1. Many free directories will not accept
sites which have minimal content or are obviously just affiliate sites.
Make sure you have real content on your site before submitting,
especially to the better or higher PR sites.
2. Many directories need to have an email address to send a confirmation email to. This must be a real email address that you look at since you will have to click a link to confirm your submission.
3. Never submit a site that is obviously
incomplete or under construction.
4. Avoid use of superlatives, exclamation
points and all capital letters.
Information Directories Will Require:
1. Domain Name (URL) of your site 2. Title (Some require official title such as business name) 3. Description of Site 4. Keywords relating to site 5. Email address (For confirmation emails) 6. Contact name 7. Category (Choose from a list of categories the one most relevant to your site)
Some Suggestions:
1. Use a separate email address for directory
submissions so these emails will not get confused with your regular
correspondence.
2. When you write your title and description
do so objectively like you are writing about another business you really
like (not your own)
3. Pay attention to correct spelling and punctuation. 4. Take care to select the most appropriate category for your site. For the easiest method of hand submitting your website to directories just let us do it for you. Give a call at (877) 674-7767 or fill out the form below
